Program Description

Create a charming piece of handmade décor in this beginner-friendly workshop! Participants will learn basic macramé knots and techniques so they can make a mini plant hanger, perfect for small pots or air plants. All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is required — just bring your creativity and enjoy a relaxing, hands-on crafting experience.

During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Help Desk on the library's second floor and registering in person.

Once you've made your plant hanger, plan to visit the Houseplant Swap taking place on the Library's Patio from 11am-noon to look for a new plant!

Hearing Device Assistance

To accommodate hard-of-hearing patrons, the library offers the use of assistive listening devices in each Community Room and in each Children’s Program Room. For these devices to work, the presenter must use the room’s sound system. For the clearest sound, make sure the device is unobstructed by clothing or jewelry and sit in the first few rows.
If you experience connectivity issues, please let a staff member know. A guide on using the assistive listening devices is available.
