Home Delivery

Bloomington residents and residents of the Golden Prairie Public Library District who are unable to visit the Library, either temporarily or permanently, are eligible to receive Home Delivery. Examples of those eligible for the service include, but are not limited to:

  • Homebound individuals
  • Pregnant women on bed rest
  • Persons undergoing treatment for serious illness
  • Seniors who are unable to use public transportation in the winter

How does it work?

Patrons can visit the library’s website and select the titles they want to receive, or materials can be selected for patrons based on their interests or needs. Library staff will deliver the materials on a specified day each month.

What items can be delivered?

Library staff will deliver any item that the library circulates!
Enjoy books, large print books, magazines, movies, audiobooks, CDs, and more.

Home Delivery Application

The Home Delivery Service is available to patrons of the Bloomington Public Library or Golden Prairie districts and cannot visit the library due to their physical condition or mobility issues.

If you can make it into the library on a regular basis (more than once per month), this service is not for you.
