Masks required for entry

In accordance with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, masks are required to be worn by staff and patrons.

Masks must cover both nose and mouth.

Local Artist Exhibit

Bloomington Public Library provides space for artwork and an artist statement to be displayed on the Library’s Lower Level, in and around the Circulation and A/V collection areas. The available spaces are outlined below in more detail. Displays are scheduled at least 6 months in advance. Exhibitions will be on display for 6 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Spaces available for displays are (total of 15): 

  • Wall north of Music CD & Audiobook shelves (has picture rail with 7 moveable hangers, 30 lb. weight limit each hanger, works can be approximately 22 inches long and width varies based hanger placement) 

  • Pillar (4 sides) in-between Music CD / Audiobook shelves & DVD / Blu-Ray shelves (picture hook, 10 lb. weight limit on each side, can accommodate works approximately 26inX24in or smaller) 

  • Pillar (2 sides) within Circulation desk area, south of DVD / Blu-Ray shelves (picture hook, 10 lb. weight limit, can accommodate works approximately 29inX35in or smaller) 

  • Wall in between Audiobooks & Nonfiction DVDs (picture hook, 10 lb. weight limit, can accommodate works approximately 19inX35in or smaller) 

  • Wall next to grandfather clock opposite DVD shelving area (picture hook, 10 lb. weight limit, can accommodate works approximately 35inX35in or smaller) 

Not all locations will necessarily be appropriate for all artwork due to size restrictions and weight limitations listed above.
