Program Description

Celebrate Bloomington Reads with this hands-on, commemorative craft! Participants will create a miniature book inspired by this year’s spotlight title, The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat by Edward Kelsey Moore. Participants will then add their mini book to a keychain designed to be a keepsake of the community’s shared reading experience. Registration is not required for this drop-in program; however, supplies are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This program will also be offered on Wednesday, April 8 from 6-8pm. Please select the date and time that works best for your schedule.

Questions about this program can be emailed to Marcie at reference@bloomingtonlibrary.org.

During Bloomington Reads, the library provides many copies of a featured book title in multiple formats. Area residents are encouraged to read the title, discuss it with their peers, and attend corresponding programs which will focus on themes found in the book. The 2026 programming series will culminate with an author presentation on Thursday, April 23, at 6pm at the library.

Hearing Device Assistance

To accommodate hard-of-hearing patrons, the library offers the use of assistive listening devices in each Community Room and in each Children’s Program Room. For these devices to work, the presenter must use the room’s sound system. For the clearest sound, make sure the device is unobstructed by clothing or jewelry and sit in the first few rows.
If you experience connectivity issues, please let a staff member know. A guide on using the assistive listening devices is available.
