The existing Bloomington Public Library building was built in 1976 and renovated in 2006. Since the 2006 renovation, the community usage and demand have outgrown the facility. The Library Board and staff are currently working with architects to develop designs to meet the existing community needs, incorporating feedback gathered from community members and the City Council.
The goal is to break ground on a renovation and expansion in April 2022.
