Starting Wednesday and continuing through Friday, the Library’s parking lot will have some areas under construction. At times, construction could block off the book drop or the curbside pickup area. The Library is still open and available for patrons to visit. The parking lot is still open.

Genealogy Assistance Request

If a patron needs help finding local history or family history information the library will complete research for a fee.

The charge is $5 for each 30 minutes of research, plus the cost of any copies made (15 cents per page). A "typical" search for an obituary in our local paper costs $5.15.

Requests are researched on a first-come/first-served basis. Patrons can also ask a librarian at the Adult Services Desk, 309.590.6168. If we are unable to supply the answer(s), our librarians often make referrals. Bloomington Public Library reserves the right to limit or refuse research requests.
