PARKING LOT CHANGES
- The east side of the parking lot (along South Prairie Street) is now under construction and no longer accessible.
- Parking is now available in the west side of the parking lot (along South East Street).
Please note that navigating the library's current parking lot includes some tighter turns.
ALTERNATE OPTIONS
- Park on side streets.
- Visit the Bookmobile.
- Find the Bookmobile Schedule at bit.ly/bplbookmobile.
- When placing library items on hold, designate your “Pickup Library” as “Outreach” to have your items placed on the Bookmobile.
- Use the library's Drive-Up Service.
- When placing library items on hold, designate your “Pickup Library” as “Drive-Up”.
- Two Drive-Up parking spaces are reserved in the west side parking lot and are noted with signs. Once parked, the patron will text or call 309.310.5076 to notify staff of their arrival. Via text, the patron will provide staff with their name and the number of the Drive-Up parking spot they occupy. Staff will retrieve the patron’s items, check the items out to the patron’s account, and deliver the items to the patron’s vehicle.
- Walk or ride your bike!
- There’s a bike rack on the south side of the building. Eventually, a bike rack will also be added to the north side of the building.
BUILDING ENTRANCE
- The entrance on Olive Street is open to patrons. Patrons who use this entrance will enter the library building on the 2nd floor. Stairs and an elevator to the 1st floor are available.
- The entrance facing the South East Street parking lot is open to patrons. Patrons who use this entrance will enter the library building on the 1st floor. Stairs and an elevator to the 2nd floor are availabe.
