ChildProgram Description
Join us at the library to warm up your creative spirit with this cozy art project brought to you by the Illinois Art Station! Artists will design their very own 3D paper mug, complete with fluffy “steam” rising from the top. Using a magical watercolor and oil pastel resist technique, children will decorate their mugs while experimenting with the contrast of warm and cool colors. The result? A colorful, cozy masterpiece that looks like it’s ready to sip!
Registration is required and is limited to 20 young artists. Each child must have their own registration to participate. During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6155, or by visiting the Children's Desk at the Library and registering in person.
Questions about this program can be emailed to Ms. Alysha at childrensstaff@bloomingtonlibrary.org.

Hearing Device Assistance
To accommodate hard-of-hearing patrons, the library offers the use of assistive listening devices in each Community Room and in each Children’s Program Room. For these devices to work, the presenter must use the room’s sound system. For the clearest sound, make sure the device is unobstructed by clothing or jewelry and sit in the first few rows.
If you experience connectivity issues, please let a staff member know. A guide on using the assistive listening devices is available.
