Program Description

World Photography Day 2022

World Photography Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science and history of photography. To celebrate, the Children’s Department will be collecting #BookFace Photos.

(BookFace photos involve strategically lining up your face or another body part alongside a book cover that features a matching body part so that there appears a melding of life and art.)

Beginning August 1 and ending August 19, choose a book from our display in the Children’s Department or pick a book from home. Use your own device to take your #BookFace photo; then email your photo to alexb@bloomingtonlibrary.org or alyshaj@bloomingtonlibrary.org.

Photos will be posted to the Children’s Services at Bloomington Library Facebook group on World Photography Day -- Friday, August 19, 2022.
