Visual Poetry on GIMP

In celebration of National Poetry Month, participants are invited to join us on Discord as we learn to create visual poetry using GIMP, a free image manipulation program. Visual poetry is a combination of visual art (like paintings, photographs, and videos) and written art (poetry). During this program, participants will learn to use GIMP to create a piece of art and combine it with poetry. Participants will get the chance to create their own artwork and will receive a printed copy on canvas.

Participants should download GIMP prior to attending this program. Use this link to download GIMP: gimp.org/downloads/

During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below. You may also register by calling 309.590.6168 or by visiting the Adult Services Desk at the Library and registering in person. As soon as registration is complete, you will receive an email with a link to access the online discussion.
