Program Description

Teen Project: Plastic Bag Lamps

Teens will take home a working lamp after learning about recycling and exploring creative ways one can upcycle plastic grocery bags. (Locally, plastic grocery bags cannot be recycled using the City's curbside recycling program.) While several upcycle ideas will be shared, materials will only be available to make lamps.
These materials will include grocery bags, cardboard, glue, skewers, led lights, and a plug.

The program will take place in the Teaching Kitchen at Green Top Grocery.

During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Adult Services Desk at the Library and registering in person.
