ChildProgram Description
Tales for Tails at Miller Park
This program pairs trained and certified therapy dogs with children in Grades K-5 who want to practice reading aloud.
There will be 4 time slots available for kids to meet and read to a pup:
- 5-5:10pm
- 5:15-5:25pm
- 5:30-5:40pm
- 5:45-5:55pm
We will meet outside near the Miller Park Pavilion. If the weather is inclement, we'll move inside the Pavilion. We will provide library books to read (and check out!) or you can bring books from home.
During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6155, or by visiting the Children's Services Desk at the Library and registering in person. Miss Alex will personally email those who register to assign them a time slot and introduce them to the dog they'll be meeting!
