Summer Reading is here! Join us in kicking off the Summer Reading Program by registering to receive a Summer Reading Take-&-Make Craft Packet. This year's Summer Reading theme is Reading Colors Your World, so children ages 3-11 years will engage in several color-themed arts & crafts activities using instructions and materials provided in the packet. You DO NOT need to reserve a Take & Make Packet to participate in the Summer Reading Program.
On a first-come, first-served registration basis, the Library will provide 350 packets . Instructions will be included in the packets but no online instruction — neither pre-recorded nor live — will be provided. Packets and activities provided are suitable for children ages 3-11 years. Any child under the age of 5 years should be supervised and assisted by a parent as packets may include small pieces.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Registration for these packets will be open from Monday, May 17, 2021, at 10am to Friday, May 28, 2021, at 12pm. Due to having a limited supply of packets, we will not be able to provide additional packets once registration is full. During the registration window for this program, registration can be completed online below, in person at the Children’s Services Desk, or by calling 309.590.6155. Registration is required for each child receiving a packet. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation/reminder email including packet pick-up information.
PACKET PICK-UP INFORMATION:
Packets will only be available for pick up from Tuesday, June 1, 2021, to Saturday, June 12, 2021, during the Library's usual operating hours. Your packet will be available at either curbside pickup, at the Children's Desk, or on the Bookmobile, depending on the choice you made when you registered.
