Program Description

After two long years of construction, Bloomington Public Library is ready to introduce the public to its expanded and renovated building!

This Ribbon Cutting with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce will take place between Circulation and the Children's Departments on the library's first floor. The ribbon cutting will be followed by staff-led tours which will include these new library features:

•    Drive-Up Window
•    3 Large Community Rooms
•    2 Large Children’s Programming Rooms
•    8 Group Study Rooms
•    12-Person Conference Room
•    Computer Lab
•    Innovation Lab
•    2 Recording Studios
•    Discovery Zone
•    Sensory Friendly Room
•    Nursing Nook

A Grand Opening "party" with children's performers, a food truck, a bounce house, photo opportunities, Innovation Lab demos,  Recording Studio demos, and tours (stay tuned as the lineup is fleshed out) will take place from 10am-noon on Saturday, August 3.
