Program Description

Protect Your Piggy Bank

Attend this free webinar which will focus on putting your personal finances in order. The webinar will be led by Tom Kilkenny from Weiss Financial Ratings. Tom will provide a deep dive into the Weiss Financial database and demonstrate how to create an account; how to set up a watch list for your bank, insurance company, stocks and mutual funds; how to create research tools (screeners); and how to run a Medigap report.

Weiss Financial Ratings offers independent, unbiased strength ratings of banks, credit unions and insurance companies. This resource also provides conservative buy-hold-sell investment ratings for thousands of stocks, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds. You can even set up a personal account to create a watch list and get upgrade/downgrade notifications. For those of you on Medicare, there is a tool to help you evaluate the available Medicare Supplement Insurance plans and make sure you are getting the best price.

Registration is required and can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Adult Services Desk at the Library and registering in person. As soon as registration is complete, you will receive an email with a link to access the virtual program.
