Program Description

In celebration of the 2024 Summer Reading theme -- Read. Renew. Repeat. -- teens will create festival lanterns from recycled materials, including used soda bottles, used magazines, and an assortment of paper. A 3D-printed coin cell battery holder, a battery, and an LED light will be provided which each teen will insert into the bottom of their lantern. Other supplies will also be provided, such as markers, wire for the handle, glue, and scissors.

The program will take place in the Library's Innovation Lab.
