Program Description

FAFSA Workshop (on Zoom)

If you're planning to attend college next year (2021-2022), you should plan to join us online to receive assistance in filling out the FAFSA application.* (FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It should be completed as soon as possible after October 1, 2020, as awards are made until funds are depleted.)

During the workshop, a representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be online to virtually assist students and their families.

*Because of the virtual nature of this program, people are encouraged to begin completing the application prior to the start of the workshop and to arrive with questions. The ISAC representative will be able to answer specific questions but might not be able to guide you through the entire online process. You can begin completing the FAFSA application at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

Register for this workshop online below, by calling 309.590.6141, or by visiting the Adult Services Desk at the library in person.

The night of the workshop, please have available:

  1. Your Social Security Number
  2. Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  3. Your most recent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned.
  4. Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
