Program Description
Easy-Sew Rice Handwarmers
Teens who register for this take-and-make craft will create a set of handwarmers for the upcoming winter months. Kits will be reserved for the first 30 teens who register. An email with details about picking up the kit -- including a pickup deadline -- will follow registration. During registration, registrants will indicate if they’d like to pick up their kit at the Drive-Up, on the Bookmobile, or at the Help Desk on the library’s second floor. Beginning Nov 6, registration can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or in person at the Adult Services Desk.
Craft kits will contain: 4 pieces of square flannel, 1 cup of white rice, 1 sewing needle, 1 strand of thread, and written instructions. Participants will need to provide their own their own scissors.
