Program Description

Back To Work: Connecting with Township Services

For more than 150 years, Township government in Illinois has served the local interests of its constituents and has remained directly accountable to the voters who select its representatives.

Township Services also plays an important part in our local workforce development. This virtual presentation by Deb Skillrud, Supervisor for the City of Bloomington Township, will discuss how the Township is a great resource for people wanting to re-enter the workforce and what opportunities and programs exist to assist jobseekers and those facing financial hardships while unemployed.

Registration is required for this virtual program and can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or in person at the Adult Services Desk.

This program was partially funded by a grant from Bouncing Back from the Pandemic: Developing Resources for the Local Workforce, which provides funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) to support libraries in providing essential resources and services to those seeking employment.
