Program Description

Back to Work: Dress to Impress

First impressions are crucial at a job interview. Do you know how to present yourself positively?

Linda Lambert, Associate Director of the Business Technology Learning Center at Heartland Community College, will share with attendees how to dress to impress. Along with her background in business, Lambert is the faculty advisor for Phi Beta Lambda, Heartland’s student business organization. PBL created the “Suit Up Closet,” a resource which provides business-appropriate attire to students who have interview or internship opportunities.

PBL is generously bringing clothing pieces from their closet to this library program. Registered attendees will each be allowed one outfit to keep. We cannot promise that all sizes will be available. To help ensure we have the appropriate sizes on hand, please list your sizes when you complete the registration for this program.

Registration is required, limited to 20 people, and can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or in person at the Adult Services Desk.

This program was partially funded by a grant from Bouncing Back from the Pandemic: Developing Resources for the Local Workforce, which provides funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) to support libraries in providing essential resources and services to those seeking employment.
