---

Ashes Under Water: The SS Eastland and the Shipwreck That Shook America reviews the 1915 Eastland Disaster and goes forward from there. The book covers the aftermath and legal battles that resulted. Learn about the battle between big business and a hero of the day, an immigrant whistleblower represented by attorney Clarence Darrow. Author Michael McCarthy will talk about his research into unpublished evidence and how he brought the full story to light.
