Beginning Tuesday, October 3, the following library items will temporarily move into storage:

  • MOST MOVIES
  • ALL MUSIC CDs
  • ALL CHILDREN’S AUDIOBOOKS

This action is necessary as we prepare to move into the west side of the building. We believe that items moved to storage will remain unavailable for the next 2-4 weeks.

Drive-Up Lane

Bloomington Public Library’s Drive-Up Lane is available to patrons who are on the go or who are unable to enter the library. Items put on hold in advance (see Hold Confirmations below) can be delivered to a patron’s parked car by Library staff. Before heading to the library, patrons should confirm the items they’ve put on hold are available.

How it Works

Upon arrival, enter the parking lot from the southeast side of the building, take an immediate left, circle the parking lot, and pull into the lane designated “Drive-Up Lane”. This lane can be found on the south side of the southeast corner of the building.

Once parked, the patron will text or call 309.310.5076 to notify staff of their arrival. The patron will provide staff with their name, the make of their car, and the color of their car. Staff will retrieve the patron’s items, check the items out to the patron’s account, and deliver the items to the patron’s vehicle.

Drive-Up Hours
