Tax Information

Paper forms and instructions should become available during February, 2024. Tax forms can also be printed at the Library for 15 cents per page. 

• Once per tax season, you can receive 5 printed tax form pages for free from staff at the Help Desk.

There will NOT be any tax preparation services offered on site at the library during 2024. 

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is an organization that works with families throughout McLean County to help prepare federal and state income tax returns. 

The income guidelines to use this service are:

• If you are SINGLE with no dependents, your income should be $40,000 or less.
• If you are SINGLE WITH DEPENDENTS, your income should be $65,000 or less.
• If you are MARRIED, your combined income should be $65,000 or less.

VITA appointments can be scheduled online at bnfreetaxservices.org.  If you need help scheduling a VITA appointment, visit the Help Desk at the Library.
