In this program, participants will use a sewing pattern to create an apron. They will get to choose from four one-size apron styles and learn about operating a sewing machine. Participants will leave with their own apron.

Using the Bernette 70 Embroidery Machine in the library's Innovation Lab, teens will explore embroidery by machine as they create an image which will then be framed. Teens will first learn how to thread the machine and install the bobbin.

The Teen Genre Book Club will meet on the second Wednesday of each month to discuss a different genre of book, giving each teen a broader choice of the book(s) they choose to read.

English Language Conversation

The English Language Conversations Group, offered in partnership with STAR Adult Literacy, is designed for adults for whom English is a second language.

Teens will design silhouettes on a computer, which will then be cut out on the Glowforge Laser Engraver or Cricut Machine to create the beginnings of a greeting card.
