Program Description
Celebrate the end of summer reading and explore our newly renovated building with a variety of activities for all ages!
- Animals Around the World (including a sloth!), presented by Incredible Bats, in Community Rooms 2-3 (two sessions offered)
- 10am-11am
- 11:30am-12:30pm (this session will end after other celebration programming has concluded)
- Tours of our newly expanded and renovated building will be offered at 10am, 10:30am, 11am & 11:30am. Tours will leave from the Check Out Desk on the first floor.
- Demos in the new Innovation Lab
- Demos in the new Recording Studios
- Robotics demonstration from Metal Cow Robotics in the Computer Lab
- Magic School Bus Bounce House in Community Room 1
- Crafts in the Children's Department
- Lego Challenge in the Children's Department
- Bay Area Mexicana Food Truck (10am-1pm; food for purchase on Olive Street)
- Olde Tyme Ice Cream Food Truck (10am-1pm; treats for purchase on Olive Street)
- "Ribbon cutting" photo opportunity; first floor lobby
The library's official ribbon cutting with the McLean County Chamber of Commerce will take place at 11:30am on Thursday, August 1.
