Join the Ecology Action Center in reading Adventures of an Aluminum Can by Alison Inches, with illustrations by Mark Chambers. This hilarious picture book tells the story of aluminum recycling from the diary entries of a can. The story helps educate students of all ages about the manufacturing process and the recycling process.
After reading, students will learn more about recycling in our own community and how to properly recycle aluminum cans. Following the story and discussions, children will emboss designs on sheets of aluminum made from old aluminum cans!
