Masks required for entry

In accordance with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, masks are required to be worn by staff and patrons.

Masks must cover both nose and mouth.

Memory Care at Bloomington Public Library

Bloomington Public Library’s Memory Care Collection consists primarily of print books and DVDs aimed to support dementia patients, caregivers, and medical professionals throughout the varying stages of this life-altering disease. The collection includes informational resources for dementia patients, caregivers, and professionals; books for kids with family members suffering from dementia; biographies and memoirs; activity books; and reading materials for dementia patients.

Large Print Materials

Deposit Collections

The Library brings small, rotating collections of materials to retirement communities and senior centers, in order to reach individuals who cannot visit the library in person. Visit for more information about this service.

Home Delivery Service

If you are a resident of Bloomington or the Golden Prairie Public Library District who cannot visit the Library in person, you are eligible for Home Delivery Service. Visit for more information about this service which will bring Library materials to you once per month.


The Bookmobile visits 48 stops every three weeks in the City of Bloomington and the Golden Prairie Public Library District. The loan period for all items checked out from the Bookmobile is three weeks. Items found at the main Library may be put on hold by Bookmobile customers to be brought to and checked out from a Bookmobile stop. Visit for more information.
