Program Description

GIMP Patterns & Sock Design

If you've ever wondered how repeating patterns are created for use on wrapping papers, fabrics, or website backgrounds, the answers will be revealed in this program. Participants will learn the techniques used to create their own repeating pattern using GIMP, an open-source image editor. Participants will then upload their creations to a website and will eventually receive a pair of socks which showcases their pattern.

Registration is required and is limited to 10 participants. Those who register will need to download GIMP (www.gimp.org) before class begins or can use a laptop onsite in the Community Room where the program will be taught.

During the registration window for this program, registration will be able to be completed online below.

Questions regarding registration can be emailed to techprogramming@bloomingtonlibrary.org.
