Program Description

Identifying Wildflowers in McLean County

Wildflowers will be popping up soon at several Greenways locations throughout McLean County, and you will have a chance to see their beauty. Mary Jo Adams is an Illinois Grand Prairie Master Naturalist and a member of the Illinois Prairie Chapter of Wild Ones. She is also a rural property owner who has been restoring 55 acres of forest, wetlands and prairie for more than 30 years. Her grandmother sparked her interest in wildflowers at an early age, and she will share her knowledge of some of the wildflowers we might encounter on outdoor adventures to Greenways sites.

This program is sponsored by McLean County Greenways (www.mcplan.org/greenways) in cooperation with Bloomington Public Library and is open to people of all ages.

Registration is required and can be completed below, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Adult Services Desk at the Library and registering in person. As soon as registration is complete, you will receive an email with a link to access the online discussion.
