Program Description

3D-Printed Stained Glass

In this two-part program, teens will use Tinkercad to create designs that will look like stained-glass art once printed.

  • In Part 1 of the program (Thursday, January 12, from 5-6:30pm) , teens will learn how to set up designs to look like stained glass, create designs, and submit designs to library staff for printing.
  • In Part 2 of the program (Thursday, February 16, 5-6:30pm), teens will meet to paint their creations. The filament used for 3D printing will be clear, like glass.

Both parts of the program will take place in the teaching kitchen at Green Top Grocery. Laptops will be provided during Part 1.

Registration is limited to 10 teens, opens at 9am on Monday, December 26, and can be completed online below, by calling 309.590.6168, or in person at the Adult Services Desk. Those who register for Part 1 of the program will automatically be registered for Part 2 of the program. To participate in Part 2, one must have completed Part 1.

Questions regarding registration can be emailed to techprogramming@bloomingtonlibrary.org.
