Art Auctions

Bloomington Public Library is selling some of the art it's accumulated throughout the years. The art will be sold via four auctions.

  • Auction 1 will begin Saturday, February 4, and will take place exclusively online. This auction includes 32 pieces of art as well as several vintage toys. Starting bids will range from $5-$1,000.
  • Auctions 2-4 will be run by Hindman Auctions. These auctions will take place both online and in person in either Chicago or Cincinnati. See below for details.

AUCTION 1

The first auction includes 32 pieces of art and several vintage toys.

BEGINS: 6pm on Saturday, February 4
ENDS: 8pm on Saturday, February 11.

Prior to February 4, the items in this auction will be available for online viewing at auctria.events/bplartauction.
This is the same link that will be used to access the auction once it is live. Starting bid prices will range from $5-$1,000.

All items for sale via the Auctria online auction have been available for public viewing in the past and are being sold “as is”, in the condition they are in at the time of the auction. The physical condition of items can vary due to age, normal wear and tear, previous damage, and  restoration. The absence of any reference to the condition of an item does not imply that the item is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.

Please email rhondam@bloomingtonlibrary.org with questions or if you are interested in viewing in person an item listed in the Auctria auction. (If someone asks to view a piece, it will be hung in the library for 24-48 hours. The potential buyer will be emailed with the piece’s location and a timeline for its removal from public viewing.)
