Hangman's Curse is one of my favorite books, it is great for anyone looking for a good nonstop action thriller or even a good scary story to read. It has great twists that are sure to keep you guessing! I will add the Springfield family is a strong christian family so even if you don't agree with thier faith I think you'll still have a great time reading this book. This book is avalible at the bloomington public library and I strongly recomend that you check it out. It's a 5 out of 5!

Summary

Doug Lee is undead quite by accident—attacked by a desperate vampire, he finds himself cursed with being fat and fifteen forever. When he has no luck finding some goth chick with a vampire fetish, he resorts to sucking the blood of cows under cover of the night. But it’s just not the same. Then he meets the new Indian exchange student and falls for her—hard. Yeah, he wants to bite her, but he also wants to prove himself to her. But like the laws of life, love, and high school, the laws of vampire existence are complicated—it’s not as easy as studying Dracula. Especially when the star of Vampire Hunters is hot on your trail in an attempt to boost ratings.

Summary

Nate Saint is a pilot and Christian missionary who, with his family, lives and works in the jungles of the Amazon. Nate is fascinated by tales he's heard of the Waodani, a violent and aggressive tribe living nearby, and with a group of fellow Christians takes it upon himself to teach them the message of Christ. However, the leader of the Waodanis, Mincayani, does not trust the white visitors. A meeting between Nate and Mincayani goes terribly wrong when Nate's inability to understand the Waodani language brings himself and four of his fellow missionaries to be murdered by the tribesmen. However, Nate is able to impart a message in Mincayani that bears fruit years later when Nate's son returns to continue his father's work.

Review

End of the Spear is an exciting movie that shines new light on what happened years ago in South America. The movie is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence - and it's true. During a lot of the movie you are watching the Waodani and what is going on with them, so quite a lot of the dialogue is in the Waodani language. I wouldn't recommend watching this movie if you're not up to reading subtitles! Also, this movie is VERY authentic and that includes the Waodani "dress-code". So over-all, this movie is not really appropriate for younger children. It is low on crude humor and only a couple times does someone use crude language in Waodani (and they don't show it on the subtitles). I give this movie a 4 out of 5 total. I think it's great!
