my galaxyA poem by tri TRANMy nights are bleak, Never the sun is shining; My days are murky, Inking blackness all over me. My world has ceased spinning, Stars, dimming, and moons waning. Cold and lifeless like the north pole, I, a poet, dwell all by myself here. the abbey of tri tranA poem by tri tranThe beeps of the heart monitor woke me up, I, a poet , losing my words; Quils resting alone without papers, My heart, in atrial fibrelation. Darkness, a lurling monster, Seeking his last bite of my dying flesh, I, a poet, tasting the final moment of life. The drips of I.V flip flop endlessly, A melody, created before I say farewell; My eyes, aglow, two lonely rubies, longing to see the night glimmer. I, a poet, strolling home to my father's hamlet. dust in your handA poem by Allen StebleHere today gone tomorrow dust in your hand reminds me of sorrow blown away away in the sand hope is bitter makes you smile reality bites then takes a child dreams are real only in your sleep nightmares die when death you reap wake up and see see what you hold life is the dust the dust in your hand rests in a closed fist then flies in an open palm FireflyA poem by Nicholas OifohFireflies in the orchard Fireflies in the heart Brings us a new day to start A slight breeze whips through the air Swaying the flowers in a manners fair Fireflies are special in so many ways The firefly that flew my way will forever be here to stay HalloweenA poem by Caitlin KettererHanted houses A dark night Lots of candy Lions and goblens and ghost oh no Owls hoot Witches fly on there brooms Eyes are missing heads are lost Ears are eaten Night time is when we all appear i'm blueA poem by mariah brooksroses are red violets are purple but i am blue when i'm away from you BackwardsA poem by Quinn ParkerThe summer sun in the sky, Shining brightly up so high, The stars and moon have gone away, If only they could shine through the day, If this would happen.... Would the world end, Would it ever be bright, Not even just a little bite of light? But when would we play, When would there be light,? I guess we'll just have to wait till night, So what if the world was backwards like, I know that's something I wouldn't miss!!! Until Winters EndA poem by Justin DriskellAll the birds in the sky flying so high flying to the south away from winters mouth not to be swallowed but to be followed Until winters end Spring flowers blossom but nothing is stirring not even a opossum the birds fly home even thought they have shown They can wait through winter perils While humans sing Christmas carols Once again they fly south to avoid winters mouth not to be swallowed but to be followed Until winters end The VeilA poem by Kathleen BeckerThe darkness is a veil that covers what things are. From rock to hill to dale, things are hidden from afar. We wonder, search, and ponder for we cannot find our way-- without light we seem to wander until the break of day. My Summer PoemA poem by Sarah HinrichsSummer Hot,Fun Swimming,Sweating No school, Building snowman Freezing,Chilling, Snowing Cold,Snowy Winter If We Could...A poem by Laura DarleyIf we could undo the cruel hands of time Then what would happen? Would more of us be alive? Would more of us be dead? Would we all be happy? Would we be sticking bullets through our own head? Would I ever see you agin? Could I bring you back from death? Could I make it back to when, I could still hear your breath? Could we undo our wrongs, And rewind all our years? Could I make it so I no longer had these fears? Could I bring forth the truth When instead I chose to hide? Could I go back and help Those people I left to the side? Could we all fix our small little mistakes That led to our downfalls? If you could undo the hands of time Would you use if for good? What would you find? What would you do? Would you pick on childhood enemies? Would you help the sick and needy? Would you kill future leaders? Would you decrease the wealth of the greedy? None of us knew All of what we could do If we could turn back the hands of time. The SeaA poem by Arnika KarthikeyanLooking into the sea I see the reflection of the sun, I feel the cold water hitting my feet. I hear the seagulls squawking above my head. I taste the salty water as I go for a swim. Then I take a step on the hot brown sand! Ouch I yell because of the stingy feel! The sea is definetly a neat place to be! Life is all around us. Family member's die it happes noone can stop it, it just happens. We live and die everybody dies and everybody lives. My SisA poem by L JacobsWe have a new baby in the house. Her name is Sarah. She is really cute, But she acts nocturnal. I don't want her to grow up, But I know she has to. I know she is growing fast, Because she can already hold her head up. I love it when she smiles, And sometimes she even laughs. I love to spend my extra time with her, So I get my homework done fast. I am going to be very sad, When she is 5 and I am 18. I will be going to college, And I will miss my little sis. |
