Your library card allows you to have 50 items checked out at any one time with the following limits:

Loan Periods
Most materials may be check out for three weeks. All items checked out from the Bookmobile check out for three weeks.
- 1 Week Check Out: Videotapes, DVDs, Rental Books, and Video Games
- 2 Weeks Check Out: New Fiction, Magazines, and Pamphlets
- 3 Weeks Check Out: CDs
- 2 Month Check Out: Art Prints
- 8 Week Check Out: Book Club Kits
Videos and DVDs are loaned to all library card holders free of charge
Overdue Items
Materials should be returned to the library or Bookmobile by closing of the date shown on the receipt. If you are unable to visit the library or Bookmobile, please be sure to renew your items.
Fines accumulate the first day an item is overdue. A fine of 10 cents per day per item is charged for most overdue adult materials. The maximum fine is usually $5 per item. The fine for overdue children’s materials is 5 cents per item per day up to a maximum of $2 per item. A fine of 50 cents per day per video or DVD is charged, including children’s materials; the maximum fine is $10. Fines can be paid at the Check Out Desk or on the Bookmobile. The library accepts cash, check or credit card as payments for fines.
Lost or Damaged Items
If you lose or damage materials contact staff at the Check Out Desk or on the Bookmobile. A processing fee, along with the replacement cost of the item, is charged for all materials. If you pay for a lost item, and then locate it in good condition within one year, you may return it to the library for a partial refund of your payment. Damaged items and multiple-part items with any piece missing will be assessed the full replacement fee plus processing fee.
