Tuesday January 30

Sparkling Grape Juice and a Masterpiece

Registered teens in grades 6-12 will join us at 6pm for a 2-hour painting class. Our instructor will create a painting while participants follow along and create their own similar painting. Registration is required which you can find here.

Wednesday February 7

Hands-On virtual Reality Demo

Are you curious about virtual reality? Dispel the mystery with this hands-on VR introduction from 6:30-8:30pm in the Community Room. Our two HTC Vive and Playstation VR headsets will be available along with games and other software.

Thursday February 15

Teen Murder Mystery Party

We’re celebrating the romantic month of February with a murder?!?! Teens in grades 6-12 will join the Bloomington Library and Normal Library Teen Departments from 6-8pm at Normal Public Library to figure out who done it.

Saturday February 17

Rubik's Cube Competition

BPL will serve as a host site for State Farm Initiative Group's Central Illinois Rubik's Cube Competition from 10am-noon. Registration is required; competition is for students in grades K-12; details at http://bit.ly/2AmlwtZ.

Monday February 19

Teen No-School DIY: Sweetheart Slime

For Valentine’s Day, the teens are making slime, which we believe everyone loves. Thereâ's no limit to the number of teens we can accommodate at this 2pm No-School DIY program.

Friday February 23

Jack of All Spades Card Game Club

Drop by from 12-2pm for card games in the Community Room. Learn new card games or share an old family favorite with new friends. Bring a lunch and plan to come and go as needed. All are welcome!

Monday February 26

Monday March 26

3D Printed Fidget Spinners (Teen Tech Week)

Those in grades 6-12 will join us from 2-4pm in the Community Room as we design custom fidget spinners. The spinners will be sent to the 3D printer after the program’s conclusion and can be picked up at a later date.

Wednesday March 28

3D Modeling and Printing with Fumotrim (Teen Tech Week)

Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to join us from 2-4:30pm as we play and learn with Fumotrim, a 3D modeling app! Models will be printed after the program concludes and can be picked up at a later date.

Friday March 30

Virtual Reality (VR) Showcase (Teen Tech Week)

Teens in grades 6-12 should plan to join us as we showcase the library's VR collection from 1:30-4:30pm. We’ll play both PC and Playstation VR games including Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Job Simulator, and more.
