Summer Reading
|
During the summer of 2011 Bloomington Public Library encourages its Summer Reading participants to "Joust Read!" Registration for our Summer Reading Program, which is available to people of ALL ages, runs May 31-July 17. Participants will be able to register in person at the Library, online at www.BloomingtonLibrary.org or at any of our Bookmobile's 44 stops. Registrants will receive a Reading Log which includes program descriptions for each age group: kids, teens & adults. If you're registering online, you'll be given the opportunity to print this log once your registration is submitted. And there are prizes to be had by all who finish the program. Completion prizes will be available beginning June 13 and must be picked up by July 31. Dates to Remember:
Party in the ParkTo wrap the program up, we'll celebrate with our 2nd Annual Party in the Park. The party will take place on Saturday, August 6, from 10am-noon at Bloomington's Miller Park. Attendees will be entertained with a Wet 'n Wild Water Show, country tunes from the band Quickdraw/Whiskers, balloon artists and games galore. Summer ProgramsAnd be sure to pick up our Summer 2011 Program Guide for a listing and descriptions of all the programs we’ll have available – always for free – this summer.
