Summer Reading 2018 will run from Tuesday, May 29-Monday, July 30. This year's theme is Reading Takes You Everywhere, and the Library's many Summer programs will – as always – be offered at absolutely no cost to participants!

Additionally, kids, teens, and adults who finish the program and turn in their completed reading logs by July 30 will receive a prize pack! Prize packs can be picked up beginning June 11.

Bloomington Public Library's annual Summer Reading Program begins May 29!

Reading logs can be picked up at the Library, on the Bookmobile, or online. You'll also want to check out the Library's Summer Program Guide which includes details about more than 210 FREE programs BPL is offering this summer. The Program Guide is available in paper form at the Library and on the Bookmobile. It's also offered electronically at https://bit.ly/2rwFaKC.

The Summer Reading theme is "Reading Takes You Everywhere." Help us kick off the Summer Reading Program by marking your calendar and attending our kickoff party on Thursday, May 31. During the party, a variety of book-based activities, crafts, music, storytelling, and more will take over the Community Room and the Children's Department from 10am-12pm.

Summer Reading is for kids, teens, and adults, and there are completion prizes offered in each age group. Prizes can be claimed between June 11-July 30. Teens and adults who finish the program will also have an opportunity to enter additional prize drawings with winners being drawn on July 31.
