Who can use Online Resources? If you’re at the library, you can access them from our Catalog Computers What does it cost to use Online Resources? Nothing, as the library pays for the license fees. You just need to be a Bloomington Public Library cardholder to access them from home, or visit the library. Due to some of the licenses you might not be able to access the resource from home. Where can I find the Online Resources? Here on our website, or on the catalog computers at the library. When can I use Online Resources? With your Bloomington Public Library card you can access the online resources 24/7. Why does the library have Online Resources? Because the Bloomington Public Library provides high quality information in support of research and homework. These resources are not simply “Google” searches. The information you can access includes medical, professional and recreational. You can find full text articles from magazines and journals, as well as newspapers. How do I search the Online Resources? Use the same techniques you use with web search engines. The more words you use the more specific your results will be. The less words you use the more general your results will be. The trick is to pick the best online resource for your question. |
