    A nonprofit national membership of families who home school their children. Their focus is to provide legal services to homeschooling families. They provide information on the local, state, national and international homeschooling issues and any new laws and court cases.

    Official Web site of Practical Homeschooling Magazine.
  • Illinois Christian Home Educators
    A nonprofit Christian organization whose purpose is to encourage the establishment of Christian support groups for homeschooling families, compile information, and make it available to these groups.

    Official Web site of Illinois State Board of Education.
  • Crossroads Area Home School Association
    Formed to create a sense of community as well as to provide an easily accessible network of communication and resources for families in and near Bloomington, who have chosen to home school their children.
  • Christian Home Educators Coalition
    A volunteer organization whose purpose is to preserve homeschooling liberties in the state of Illinois. They monitor legislation in the Illinois General Assembly that would affect homeschooling in Illinois.
  • Bloomington-Normal Enrichment Group
    Lists links to homeschooling Web sites and includes a calendar of events specific to the group.
  • Association of Peoria Area Christian Home Educators
    Nonprofit group whose purpose is to help parents excel in homeschooling their children from a Christian perspective. They promote homeschooling by providing education and information and activities for parents such as a monthly newsletter, annual convention and used curriculum fairs.
  • Boy Scouts – W.D. Boyce Council
    Web site for the Crossroads District – W.D. Boyce Council of the Boy Scouts of America which serves Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews within the geographical boundaries of DeWitt, Livingston, Logan, McLean counties and the northern portion of Ford County. The District office is located in Bloomington.
  • Girl Scouts – Centrillio Council
    Web site for the Girl Scouts of Centrillio Council which serves girls throughout Central Illinois provides them with the opportunity to build strong values and skills for success in the real world.     Dedicated to providing young people with exciting learning opportunities that allow students to explore, expand and experience new areas of interest.
  • McLean County 4-H
    A regularly updated resource created for those interested in learning more about 4-H in McLean County. It provides a virtual classroom for 4-H members to study and learn Web site design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Miller Park Zoo
    Offers many exhibits and zookeepers interactions for the whole family. Guided and unguided tours and classroom programs are available to school groups.

    A program at the YMCA which allows home schooled students to participate in programs designed to fill their physical activity needs.
