Newspapers

In addition to the Pantagraph, the library has a number of newspapers on microfilm that have been published in the area in the mid 1800s to the early 1900s.

There is a card index to the Pantagraph of obituaries, marriages, notable local people, information on local businesses, major news stories, and local historical information covering the beginnings of the Pantagraph to 1989.  From 1990 to the current date, it is indexed in the ProQuest online resource to which the library subscribes.

There is also a card index to the Bloomington Observer and McLean County Advocate, the Tazewell Whig, the Whig, the Western Whig, the Weekly Whig, and the Bloomington Intelligencer.
