Local History
The library maintains a Local History File that contains miscellaneous material of local interest including brochures, programs, flyers, images, etc. that feature Bloomington, Normal, McLean County, and Illinois. It is filed by subject and the materials are housed in archival envelopes.
The library has a Local History Picture File that contains pictures and photographs that highlight prominent residents, businesses, and other areas of interest of Bloomington, Normal, McLean County, Illinois. A subject index highlights the subjects included in the file, as well as a detailed index describing each item in the collection. Housed in envelopes and filed by accession number assigned to each picture.
