Jack of All Spades Card Game Club

Drop by from 12-2pm for card games in the Community Room. Learn new card games or share an old family favorite with new friends. Bring a lunch and plan to come and go as needed. All are welcome!

Move and Learn

Kids of all ages will listen to stories, sing, and dance during this 6:30pm program in the Bloomington Public Library Story Room. A parent or caregiver needs to accompany children.

Learn to Solve a 2x2 Rubik’s Cube

Kids age 7-11 will learn how to solve a 2x2 Rubik’s Cube. Registration is limited and required. Choose to attend either session -- 10-11:30am or 1-2:30pm. A 3x3 Rubik’s Cube from State Farm STEM Initiative will go home with each child!

Preschool Story Time 

This 10am story time meets in the Story Room and features longer stories, flannel boards, music, puppets, and interactive activities to help get your pre-readers (ages 3-5 year) ready for school.

Tales for Tails

Trained and certified therapy dogs are paired with kids in grades K-5 who want to practice reading aloud. Come to the Children’s Desk between 6pm and 7pm to be assigned a 10-minute session with a dog.

Spring into the Library 

Children of all ages should plan to join us as we celebrate reading with an exceptional performance by the Clothespin Puppets at 11am in the Children’s Department followed by crafts until 1pm.

Brick by Brick Duplo Story Time 

Attendees will hear a story, build elements of the story with Duplo bricks, and play beginning at 10am in the Story Room. This program is intended for children age birth-5 years with a caregiver.

Evening Itty Bitty Lapsit 

This story time is geared for itty-bitty library users and their caregivers. Bring a blanket and your baby’s favorite stuffed toy. This 6:30pm program in the Story Room is for children age birth to 18 months.
