Reader's Corner

The library offers many resources for readers. At the library you’ll find a Reader’s Corner with resources for what to read next, guides to different genres, and book club resources. This virtual Reader’s Corner has some of our suggested reading lists, as well as guides to books in a few genres. You’ll also find Online Resources, such as Novelist, to help you in your quest for a great book to read!

NoveList
...is a fiction database that provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 135,000 fiction titles. It also includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such as Author Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists.
eBooks/NetLibrary
eBooks are electronic, full-text copies of published print materials, such as reference books, scholarly monographs, fiction and nonfiction books.  Come into Bloomington Public Library to set up your NetLibrary online account.  It’s free!  Once your account is established, you can utilize our eBooks from any computer.  
Contemporary Literary Criticism
Select is an extensive collection of critical essays on contemporary authors. Each CLC--Select entry contains a biographical/critical introduction, listing of principal works and sources for further study.
